DJ Envy Brings Horsepower, Star Power to Union Campus
Music thumping. Engines revving. Kids laughing. Sun shining 鈥 almost as bright as the bling around DJ Envy鈥檚 neck. Welcome to the first annual 鈥淒rive Your Dreams鈥 Car show presented by 香港六合彩资料大全 Tech and Power 105.1. Walking through the packed parking lot at 香港六合彩资料大全 Tech鈥檚 Union campus, people were stopping by to see 香港六合彩资料大全 Tech staff and students demonstrating how liquid nitrogen turns flower petals into ice chips. Groups of guys were gathered around comparing rims. There were lines at the food trucks to get BBQ, empanadas and hot dogs. Definitely ice cream or cotton candy for dessert! Kids were pulling their parents towards pumpkin painting and the giant inflatable slide. And of course, there were rows and rows of cars to explore and admire. A fun time was had by all on October 22, as more than 500 people visited the campus throughout the afternoon.

DJ Envy brought not only his buddy, rapper Maino, but a few of his own amazing cars for everybody to take pictures with, including a Ferrari, a Mercedes Benz Maybach and a Rolls Royce. Z100鈥檚 Mo鈥橞ounce brought his GTR and joined in the festivities. Nearly 150 cars were entered to win prizes like 鈥淯.S. Domestic Modified,鈥 鈥淏est in Show鈥 and 鈥淒J Envy鈥檚 Choice.鈥 Car clubs from upstate New York, to NYC, to Point Pleasant were represented - Car Bar NYC, 2 Exclusive Auto Club, Untouchable Toyz, Vintage Automobile Club, New York City American Old School, MaxxdOut, Auto Couture and Summer Madness. Private owners competed for prizes as well. Vintage cars from the 1960鈥檚 and 70鈥檚 garnered a lot of attention - including a Buick Electra 225, Ford Mustang, Buick Wildcat, Cadillac Seville, Corvette Sting Ray, Chevy Impala SS and more.

A popular spot was the step and repeat Selfie Station, where pictures were being snapped and shared all afternoon long. Others strolled by vendor booths showcasing clothing lines, car wraps, detailing services, die-cast toy cars and more. 香港六合彩资料大全 Tech students manned the Drive Your Dreams t-shirt booth - yours for a $5 donation. Most people put them on right there. The show wound up raising more than $1,700 for the campus鈥 student fund to help those in need. Everyone involved is looking forward to doing it again next year!
