HVAC Technician & Management Training Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ«

HVAC Technology Program

Students in our Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating Systems Technology program (HVAC Technology) learn to build key skills for working with commercial refrigeration control systems, repairing and replacing compressors, handling refrigerant piping, and plotting air conditioners with psychrometric charts. The theory and practical applications of electricity are taught, as are strict safety procedures for working with high voltage systems. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech also trains the student to carefully recover and recycle coolant, a must-know skill for handling compressed gases and preventing gas from escaping into the environment. When you finish this program, you’ll be ready to sit for EPA certification testing. We also encourage our grads to test for certification through the Green Mechanical Council.

HVAC Service Management

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech’s Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating Systems Technology Service Management program awards an associate degree in applied science to the program graduate. This program includes all of the courses in the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating Systems Technology program, and also adds Environmental Science and other valuable courses to develop writing and critical thinking skills, among others.

Hussmann TechX Training Partnership at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech currently partners with global leader Hussmann to provide enhanced HVAC training – the only school in the country to offer this training. Hussmann, owned by Panasonic and one of the world’s top manufacturers of commercial refrigeration equipment, launched its TechX Advanced Training facility on Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech’s Grand Prairie, TX campus in the summer of 2018. Looking to build its workforce for today, and for the future, Hussmann is covering tuition, room, board, and transportation for eligible Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech graduates accepted into the advanced training program.
