This program starts with the Medical Assistant diploma program curriculum, then continues with 3 additional courses specializing in medical insurance billing procedures, electronic medical record keeping, and medical coding, as well as 5 general education courses to fulfill degree requirements. This program includes the 160-hour internship capstone course, which gives the student real clinical time to experience working with patients in a medical setting. Successfully completing this final course indicates that you have knowledge and skills needed to perform duties recognized by industry and program-specific standards.

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll work directly with patients by taking their vital signs, recording medical histories, collecting specimens and other duties. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech’s training programs prepare you to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam offered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
