Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech’s Denver campus trains students to develop the essential skills and knowledge required for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial and residential entertainment, security, monitoring, and telecommunications systems. Hands-on training is delivered by experienced instructors who help prepare students for entry-level technician positions in the residential and/or commercial telecommunications, fire alarm, intrusion detection and signaling, entertainment, audio/video/data, and energy management systems industries.
The Electrical and Electronic Systems Technician program combines high-voltage electrical and low-voltage electronic systems technology into one program that helps maximize your career opportunities when you graduate. The Electrical and Electronic Systems Technology (EEST) program is designed to help you enter what the U.S. Department of Labor has designated as a Green Increased Demand occupation – which means green economy activities and technologies are likely to increase the employment demand2.
For those students who are interested in going further in their initial training, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech also offers a 1,425-hour EEST Service Management program, where graduates earn an Associate’s Degree of Occupational Studies.
EEST program graduates can pursue jobs as independent contractors, electricians or work for residential, commercial and industrial contractors. Electronics Systems Technicians have a wide range of career possibilities helping residential customers with cable and satellite TV installations, home theater setup, whole home automation and more.
