May 26, 2021 - Barbour Motorsports in Alabama: IndyCar driver Sam Schmidt was paralyzed from the neck down in a racing accident 21 years ago. Today, Sam is the owner of Schmidt-Peterson Motorsports, and he has taken his first steps with the help of technology in the form of an advanced exoskeleton. In this video, Sam is wearing the , or the Semi-Autonomous Mobility Suit, which has aided Sam in taking his first steps, as well as fulfilling the dream of dancing with his daughter at her wedding.
