Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech takes you on a virtual tour of the two locations that comprise our Grand Prairie, Texas school. The Auto, Diesel and Collision programs are offered at the Alouette Drive campus, and our CNC Machining & Manufacturing, HVAC and Welding programs are offered at our Arkansas Lane campus.

The Automotive Technology program is comprised of courses that cover the major systems in passenger vehicles. The curriculum prepares students to enter the industry as competent entry-level technicians with a sound background of knowledge to build upon in the field. The campus also offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in the field of Automotive Service Management.

Grand Prairie’s Diesel Technology program offers aspiring technicians the choice between concentrating on diesel, or pursuing an alternative route with a blended curriculum of diesel technology with automotive technology. Our Collision Repair and Refinishing curriculum integrates I-CAR standards and trains students to repair, restore and rebuild damaged vehicles.

Besides transportation-related training, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óȫ’s Grand Prairie campus offers many skilled trades programs for careers with high demand. The Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating Technology (HVAC) program prepares students to service, troubleshoot and repair commercial and residential systems. HVAC classrooms are sponsored by partners including Lennox, one of the top brands in climate control. Grand Prairie also houses our specialized Hussmann’s TechX Training Center. Hussmann is a national leader in commercial food refrigeration technology, and students accepted into the program learn how to install, maintain and repair Hussmann equipment.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech’s CNC Machining and Manufacturing program teaches students to become skilled entry-level machinists. Students learn computer numerical control programming in our HAAS-sponsored learning center, using the latest HAAS Automation machines. With America’s manufacturing renaissance underway, the need for skilled manufacturing technicians is growing, and this program prepares students to enter the manufacturing industry.

The Welding Technology with Introduction to Pipefitting program utilizes augmented reality training that allows students to familiarize themselves with specific techniques before moving on to welding real metal. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Tech has expanded this program with 80 welding booths to help combat the shortage of skilled welders in the United States.
