EEST Program at Melrose Park
Our Melrose Park campus boasts a state-of-the art Smart House for students to implement the knowledge they learn in the classrooms. The Smart House provides students with six electrical stations where they practice residential electric, conduit bending, pulling cables, connecting switches and breaker boxes, and tracing/tracking cable connections. Students learn troubleshooting skills, along with how to set up nurse call stations in hospitals – a vital part of in-room patient cares. New technology in apps are also explored that allow you to control cameras, lights and appliances all from an electronic device! In the next eight years, there will be close to 6,000 positions opening up for electrician and electrical professional technicians in Illinois, according to careeronestop.org.
